Another little Craigslist project

I know, you have probably heard it all before. blah, blah, blah. Seriously though, here I am at the end of another day just waiting for the sun to come up so I can figure out how to squeeze a few hours into painting this bed set I am working on. Raining away up here in northland. Too damp to paint and since I am just out of bed today ,from one week with a cold from hell, I really should just take it easy. But, being somewhat of an obsessive compulsive furniture repurpose junkie, I just have to finish this thing. Can't figure out how to get the paint to dry any faster. So...patience is the order for tonight. Last week as I was stalking the CL furniture section looking for a bed for a friend who is getting married, I spied this wonderful french style double bed. Now I have a nice double sleigh bed which I got last summer and have not really had any time to work on it this past winter. Moving up to northland and a kitchen renovation, a new baby grandson and all this back and forth to the city for this and that left me very little time to repair and refinish this bed. Good thing too. I discovered that I really did not want it after all. What the heck, for the 20 dollars I paid for it, it was not such a bad thing. Back to the story. Found this great bed on CL. $80. Down from $150. Great bones. Little sanding, a few resin appliques, primer, and paint and this bed is starting to fulfill my decorating dreams. Hoping this gorgeous spring weather holds anther week or so. Paint needs to cure and I need to finish this project. Let me know what you think. Was it worth it?
